He has a very matter of fact way of talking about trading that comes through in his writing. But using your imagination it is not hard to relay it to trading. I have no interest in golf, but this book really offered a lot of wisdom and made a radical change in my thinking. Remember that when trading, your greatest enemy is yourself. Keep your trading mechanical, and you will be able to overcome this, and then you can make your trading more discretionary.
