As a real estate agent and investor for several years, I've found these books helpful in seeing the overall picture of real estate investing. Professional investing takes a lot of research and hard work, not just cash and know-how. Because there is a lot of stake, I suggest you read as many books on the as many real estate topics as possible. Books such as cash flow, financing real estate projects, flipping homes, renovating homes, prepping homes for maximum sales, dealing with contractors, real estate auctions, buying properties, etc. will give you some much needed knowledge before you begin the process. There are several infomercials out there that promises you millions if you just listen to their tapes. I have tried some of them, and found they only work for a few. I'd suggest getting educated through books first, do your research, and proceed cautiously, while taking a well-calculated informed risk. These are some of the books that have been most helpful so far: The Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing,Making Big Money Investing in Foreclosures: Without Cash or Credit,Real Estate Investing for Dummies,Financing Secrets of a Millionaire Real Estate Investor,Flipping Properties: Generate Instant Cash Profits in Real Estate,The Pre-Foreclosure Property Investor's Kit: How to Make Money Buying Distressed Real Estate -- Before the Public Auction,Prepping Your House for Maximum Sales (Home Harmony Series),HOME RENOVATING BASICS: How to Repair and Beautify Your Home for Personal Enjoyment and Resale Value (Bermuda Shorts Series),Investing in Real Estate, Fourth Edition,Rich Dad's Advisors®: The ABC's of Real Estate Investing: The Secrets of Finding Hidden Profits Most Investors Miss (Rich Dad's Advisors),The Millionaire Real Estate Investor,Real Estate Dealmaking: A Property Investor's Guide to Negotiating Products mentioned include:
