See all products The Right Stock at the Right Time: Prospering in the Coming Good Years by Larry Williams: This is a great book. Although I am not a student of stocks, I enjoyed Mr.Williams's straightforward approach to stock investing. I first came across Larry William 9 or 10 years ago, early on in my career as a commodities broker. Back then his style of writing was clean and uncomplicated. His premises were easy to follow and decipher. This time around he has done the same thing with stocks. I am the author of three books on trading futures and I have to admit I wish that I could come across as plainly as Mr. Williams has. Any investor would only benefit from this great book. The Stock Market Barometer by William Peter Hamilton: Financial books of the past, still tell you the same truths. August 13, 2003 This is a great book. There is just one update in the introduction. The rest of the book still maintains its 100 year old roots. As a financial author I am always inclined to look to the past for answers. This book orignially written by Mr.Dow, of Dow Jones Industrial Average fame, still is very relevant today. How I Trade for a Living by Gary Smith: As the author of several books on trading I tend to be jaded as to the usual amount of garbage that gets to the public. This time, Mr. Smith, pleasantly surprised me. He held no punches in expressing the highs and lows of trading for a living. He also makes it a point that everyone needs to find their own way to a style of trading that fits them bes. Great book. I definitely recommend it. Direct Access Futures: A Complete Guide to Trading Electronically by David I. Silverman: Everyone always touts direct access stock trading and how great it is for the retail investor, but Mr. Silverman is one of the first to address this issue for futures trading. Although I don't agree with everything Mr.Silverman has to say about floor traders, his experience definitely lends credence to the ideas in his book. I have been trading futures for the past 12 years, both as a broker and an investor. In that time I have written three books on futures trading. Mr. Silverman has done a great job of putting this book together. I definitely recommend this book to those who have listened to my seminars or purchased my books. Products mentioned include:
