'The Beatles (The White Album)' My favorite Beatles album. So many musical styles, so many great songs, so much of everything!!! Paul's hard and chaotic "Helter Skelter," George's snapping "Piggies," John's innuendo-filled "Happiness is a Warm Gun," and even Ringo's first song, "Don't Pass Me By." The album also has my favorite song, George's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

'Abbey Road' My second favorite, and the one that I think is the best cut album. Their final (actually made AFTER Let it Be), classic album that contains 17 amazing songs. The second half of the CD is almost like one song, but cut into 10 segments. "Come Together" is a catchy, bluesy, hard song, while "Golden Slumbers" is a tearful lullaby. George's "Something" is magnificent, and John's "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is amazing in its simplicity. Great swan song for the Beatles

'Revolver [UK]' This album began the Beatles great period. After they started taking drugs, it began to show in their music, shown in the trippy "Tomorrow Never Knows," and George's Indian interests are shown in "Love You To." This album was one of the first rock album that actually flowed, rather than being a collection of songs.

'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' Made during the "Summer of Love," this album embodied the feeling of the time, with its psychedelia, lovely lyrics and phenomenal songs. "A Day in the Life" is considered by many as the Best song on the album, while unforgettable songs like "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Within You Without You" are great and delightfully strange for rock music. Great album

'Magical Mystery Tour' Probably the best psychedelic album ever. "I Am the Walrus" defines psychedelic music, and this soundtrack album just yells "insanity" all over it. From the title track to the instrumental "Flying" and the great "Strawberry Fields Forever," this album is great in the history of the Beatles.

'Let It Be' Though many think this album is one of the Beatles' worst albums, it is still MUCH better than most band's best albums. Recorded almost as a live album, without overdubs or anything, this album is raw Beatles, and contains some unforgettable songs. The title track, the hard and dirty "I've got a Feeling," the wonderful "I Me Mine," the classic "One After 909" (actually written when the Beatles were teens), and the nonsense-filled "Dig a Pony."

'The Beatles Anthology' This documentary is the final word on the Beatles. Over 11 Hours long, filled with concert footage, interviews with the Beatles themselves, and best of all, ACTUAL BEATLES MUSIC! Made by the Beatles, this documentary is the best.

'Anthology 1' Early Beatles music, but made with different takes and interviews too! Great piece for a hardcore Beatles fan, since it has different versions of songs we all love. It came as a companion piece to the Anthology movie. This one also features "Free As a Bird," a song written by John but was never made. George, Paul, and Ringo came together 20 years later and actually made this song, so its actually like a reunion!! Cool song too!

'Anthology 2' Same as above, only it shows the Beatles during the peak of the powers, making albums like Rubber Soul and Revolver with much experimentation. This version of "Across the Universe" is great.

'Anthology 3' Lots of demo/acoustic versions of White Album--Abbey Road songs. Great stuff to listen to, but none of this stuff is groundbreaking material. However it's great to hear the classic songs sung differently than before!

'A Hard Day's Night' This movie started their movie career, and made them even more popular than they were. And yet, this movie, though just a vehicle for the young lad, is actually a classic piece of cinema. A genuinely laugh out loud funny movie with a great script and surprisingly good performances from the Beatles. Their best movie of those I've seen

'The Beatles - Help!' Their follow-up to A Hard Day's Night, "Help!" was in color and was also very funny. Though not quite as good as "A Hard Day's Night," this movie was still a great vehicle for the boys and was also genuinely funny.

'The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour' I've only seen part of this movie, but even though it was critically panned, this movie still stands as monumental in the timeline of the Beatles. Made just after manager Brian Epstein died, the Beatles directed this psychedelic adventure, complete with great music. Even though it isnt considered a very good film, it is the only place where there is footage of John Lennon singing "I Am the Walrus." Just for that, this movie is classic.

'Let It Be' The Beatles intended this movie to be a documentary of them making a new album. Instead, it ended up being a piece of history, documenting the dissolving of the Beatles as a musical group. Once again, I've only seen part of it, but from what I've seen this movie is genuine (since it is non-fiction) and would be very informative in getting to know the Beatles. In addition, it includes the footage of the famous January 30 1969 Rooftop performance, shut down later by the police.

'Paul McCartney - Back in the U.S. (Live 2002 Concert Film)' Though this is actually just Paul McCartney, this is still a great concert film. It features Paul McCartney and his band playing many many songs, including many Beatles songs and his solo material. His playing the Beatles is great, being so long after the Beatles broke up. Seeing the crowd, who were originally those screaming kids, in the audience crying and smiling to the old music is just phenomenal. It really shows how things have changed and how things have not changed in terms of the music of the Beatles.

'The Beatles Anthology' If you don't see the movie (and even if you do) read the book "Beatles Anthology." Once again, the writing comes straight from the quotes of the Beatles, not from any historians or that crap. This is about the Beatles, by the Beatles. The books is basically hundreds of pages of quotes of the Beatles, all relating in a cohesive manner, in chronological order. The pictures in the book are beautiful. The book is rather expensive, but you definitely get your money's worth

'A Hard Day's Write, Revised Edition : The Stories Behind Every Beatles' Song' This has the story behind EVERY Beatles song! A very, very, very informative book in the stories behind Beatles lyrics. If you ever wondered what "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite" was all about, you'll find out in this very book! This edition also includes songs from Anthology and Live At the BBC.

'The Rutles - All You Need Is Cash' Though it's not actually the Beatles, the Rutles movie was great and very very funny. It's a big parody of the Beatles, made by Monty Python member Eric Idle, and it features Beatles song parodies, and mimicks the entire Beatles career in a lampooning manner that is sure to bring laughs to any Beatles fan. George Harrison is even in this movie! Great stuff, and (though I have not seen it) recently a sequel was made to this classic parody of the greatest band ever...the Beatles
