Dells smallest, most personalized and most environmentally responsible consumer PC, the Studio Hybrid, is available at www.dell.com/hybrid, the PC’s new unique shape and size, personalized with six optional, external jewel-toned color or bamboo sleeves, unleashes stylistic expression, inspiration and fun and looks great in any room. Dell bills the Studio Hybrid as being 80 percent smaller than a typical desktop. To achieve this feat of miniaturization, the Hybrid uses notebook computer components
This energy-sipping computer saves users not only at the front end with a low retail cost on the PC, but also during use with a reduced electricity bill; it requires 70% less energy than standard desktops. The hybrid also turns out 75% less printed documentation, is rated EPEAT Gold, and is Energy Star compliant.
Throw in a stocking stuffer by buying a tree with your purchase—for a few extra dollars, Dell will plant a tree to offset the carbon emissions created by three years of computer use. The Studio Hybrid can be set in a vertical or horizontal configuration; glowing blue Dell logos appears on the top and bottom (or left and right, if vertical) of the unit, and the name "Hybrid" automatically orients itself depending on whether you stand the computer vertically or horizontally. An included stand that helps the Hybrid stay upright.
The Dell Studio Hybrid is Dells Greenest Desktop. Dell’s most unique, stylish, and conscientious desktop PC. Designed to fit into your environment while protecting the environment.

With new iPods out of the way, the next priority for Apple is the Mac. High performance now comes in three sizes: 13-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch. The new MacBook Pro brings precision engineering and advanced technology to everyone. Aluminum unibody enclosure, advanced longer-lasting battery, enhanced LED-backlit display. MacBook Pro has been precision engineered down to the smallest detail.

From one solid piece of aluminum comes a MacBook Pro that’s thin and light, beautifully streamlined, and durable. Every new MacBook Pro features an advanced built-in battery that lasts up to 7 hours (8 hours on the 17-inch MacBook Pro) on a single charge. High-performance NVIDIA graphics combine with a vivid LED-backlit display to give you a stunning viewing experience. Highly recyclable and even more energy efficient, the new MacBook Pro family is designed with the environment in mind. Even the keyboard is advanced. The rigid aluminum keyboard webbing has been cut precisely to hold the keys. And the keys are curved to perfectly fit fingers. The result? Pure typing bliss. The keyboard is also illuminated, so when you are in low-light settings, such as airplanes or conference rooms, you can always see what you are typing. Multi-Touch Trackpad Execute gestures on a spacious and smooth Multi-Touch trackpad that is also the button.
The new MacBooks are hot — and we are not talking about the lap-scorching temperature of their aluminum unibodies. Apples online store is currently showing a 7- to 10-day delay in shipping two models of the MacBook Pro — the high-end ($1,500) 13-inch and the entry-level ($1,700) 15-inch. These MacBooks are speculated to be launched side-by-side with the more versatile iMacs in the coming weeks. If they are offered at the pricing the rumors claim, they will be definitely the cheapest offerings from Apple in the history of the Mac line of computers. According to some inside sources, models awaiting certification were spotted in white-colored polycarbonate which is consistent with the $999 model currently available.

Is spending an hour at the drugstore too long to wait for your digital prints? If so, a photo printer—either a dedicated snapshot model or a general-purpose inkjet—is a worthy investment. The cost per print is sometimes higher than at the photo lab, but the instant gratification pays for itself in time not spent in the shampoo aisle.
A high quality scanner and printer can go a long way for improving the quality of your pictures and documents. Scanners can be used to make digital images of regular photos as well as work as a low cost xerox machine. If you do any digital photography, invest in a photo printer and seperate scanner, otherwise get a printer/scanner combo. Hewlett-Packard makes very nice printers, as does Epson.
HP PhotoSmart 7550 Inkjet Printer and HP PhotoSmart 7350 Inkjet Printer are good photo printers. The only difference is the 7550 has a preview screen, but cost more
Visioneer One Touch 9000 USB Scanner - High quality, relatively low cost scanner, with many features, one touch scanning, and a USB 2.0 port
HP PSC 1210 Multifunction - High quality scanner and printer combo. The quality is not quite as good as a photo printer, but will be good enough for most jobs
HP PSC 2175 Multifunction The same as the above, except has a built in fax machine.
A bunch of photo printers with eccentric styles have been recently introduced. If portability is your thing, check out the Canon Selphy CP790, a funky printer that's built into a bucket. (You cant get much more on-the-go than that.) If perfect image quality and huge enlargements are more important, the Canon Pixma iX7000 will not disappoint. And if you need a photo printer thats also a good choice for churning out regular documents, as well as copying and scanning, the Epson Stylus NX515 may be the workhorse for you.
![]() | Canon Selphy CP790 The CP790—a lime-green, love-it-or-hate-it printer built into a bucket—is a very competent photo printer, but its prints are expensive, and the software bundle is so-so. |
![]() | Canon Selphy CP780 This dye-sublimation model is a well-built snapshot printer capable of producing good photos, but it lacks some features and requires pricey media. |
![]() | Sony DPP-FP97 Digital Photo Printer This fast, pricey snapshot printer has a few limitations, but it comes with good software and generates superior-quality photos. |
![]() | Dell Wasabi PZ310 This mobile printer is a tiny-tech marvel, but its expensive paper and tiny, inconsistent-quality prints are big demerits. |

In the world of technology, touching is definitely allowed. In recent days, some of the latest products feature touch-screen technology. Lenovos ThinkPad X200 features, according to our expert reviewers, a superb, responsive touch screen, and the MSI Wind Top AE2010-02SUS is a desktop PC with a touch screen at a budget price. Plus, Lexmark has reworked the all-in-one-printer paradigm with its new line of printers that feature 4.3-inch touch-screen LCDs.
These new models include the Interact S605 and the Platinum Pro905. Whatever youre in the market for, dont be afraid to touch this technology. The addition of Windows 7 and a superb touch screen make the already excellent X200 Tablet even more usable. For vertical-market users (such as healthcare pros) and general business users who prefer a full-featured convertible tablet, it delivers.
