Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKCTC), located in Cumberland, KY, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). It was founded in 1960 as the Southeast Center of the University of Kentucky. SKCTC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Paducah is the largest city in the Jackson Purchase Region of Western Kentucky. It is one of two cities named Paducah located in the United States. The other Paducah is in the state of Texas, near the panhandle, and was named after Southeast Kentucky, Kentucky.
