Macroeconomics

Macroeconomics is the study of economics on a large scale, such as national or international models. It is an immensely complex world of math that continues to befuddle even the leading experts in the field. Those who study macroeconomics will have a solid background in mathematics and basic economics. Macroeconomics is typically taught at the university level and beyond.

There are plenty of books on macroeconomics available. Some speak to the general subject matter, and attempt to make it understandable to the layman, while others are in-depth, comprehensive looks at the theories and applications of the field. For the uninitiated, even a primer book on macroeconomics may seem like it is written in Greek or Swahili.

The importance of the subject cannot be understated. Macroeconomics are the principles upon which international trade, job creation, social programs and even wars will rest. It has been said that money makes the world go around. A study of macroeconomics will both make that abundantly clear as well as confusing (how could this be possible?).
