Electric toothbrushes are increasing in popularity, promising to offer dentist-quality care at home. The 7800 is the top-of-the-line product from Sonicare and boasts an extra brush head (three total) and a luxury brush holder. It is also the most powerful of the bunch at twice the speed of the 7300.

All three lines feature Smartimer technology that beeps to let you know you've brushed as long as the dentist recommends, usually about two minutes. They all feature extra-soft bristles for thorough yet gentle cleaning. Keep in mind, though, that brush heads should be replaced every four to six months, and after a while, the price of replacements can begin to add up.
