Samsung, therefore, had to make its phones to compete with if not exceed the existing phones on the market. Samsung has exhibited steady growth in the industry, climbing to number two in terms of cell phone sales. One of Samsung's goals is to forge lasting relationships with its customers. Towards that end, Samsung won a Customer Loyalty Award in 2004 for the third consecutive year, awarded by Brand Keys, Inc., a world leader in customer loyalty metrics. A Samsung phone is a solid, if not flashy, investment.
