Proliant Servers

HP ProLiant servers balance data center efficiency with reliability. Everyone who is shopping for a server will have to juggle many concerns, including scalability, security, efficiency and speed. Ideally, you will find a server that has low operating costs but that gives your business all of the power and flexibility it needs to perform without glitches.

All of the servers in the ProLiant line have certain features and components in common, to keep cost and confusion down. Each server has an LED feature that helps with maintenance, as it alerts you to the internal and external health of the server. Color-coding helps administrators know which ports are which. If you are looking for a Linux web server, there are several options in this family.

The ProLiant ML350 is a tower server that uses an Intel Xeon 3.2GHz processor and six hard drive bays. The ML370 boasts some of the most cost-effective tower server performance. The ProLiant DL145 has a single and dual processor core, uses an AMD Opteron 200 processor, has a standard memory of 1GB, and has a maximum of two internal drives. The DL140 has similar standard memory, but only a single processor core. The DL140 uses an Intel Xeon DP processor, instead of an AMD.

The DL760 uses an Intel Xeon MF processor, and can operate up to eight processors for more power and speed. There is 4GB of standard memory, and 64GB of maximum memory. The maximum number of internal drives for this unit is four. The ML110 offers optional remote management, and the DL360 has a powerful dual processor. In addition to all of the individual servers in the ProLiant line, there are also cluster solutions.
