Palm has been the name in PDAs for as long as these devices have been
in use. Its products are on the cutting edge, and it continues to
develop some of the most widely used PDAs in the world. Palm has an
extensive line of PDAs, ranging from the inexpensive smaller versions
all the way up to the ultra-luxurious "business" class versions.
The Palm Zire line has some great lower-end PDAs that provide many of
the best features of the higher-end models. The Zire 72 in particular
has some desirable features, including a 1.2 megapixel built-in camera
for capturing both still photos and small video clips. You can then
download these images directly to your computer, where they can then be
e-mailed and distributed like any other digital image.
Of course, when most people imagine a Palm PDA, they imagine a
superior organizational helper. The Zire 72 comes equipped with
Microsoft Outlook, which features an exceptional "day planner" and
address and e-mail organizer. The Zire 72 also has the ability to
organize schedules and photos so that they can be accessed easily and
quickly.
One of the most technologically advanced aspects of the Zire 72 Palm
PDA is its Bluetooth technology. With the Zire 72, you can actually hook
up to a mobile phone (that also has Bluetooth technology) and use the
phone as a modem. You can then access the Internet using only your Palm
PDA and your mobile phone. This makes remotely accessing your e-mail
possible anywhere there's a cell phone tower.
