It's more than just the features this phone offers, though; the unique "twist and shoot" design has garnered a lot of attention as well. This design takes a normal flip phone and augments it by adding a twist--literally. The user flips the cover open and then twists it, which automatically turns on the camera. The camera on the Nokia N90 is one of the most powerful on any telephonic device. It operates at 2.1 megapixels (1600 by 1200 pixels), complete with autofocus and 20x digital zoom. This by far outstrips where digital cameras were only a few years ago. The user can adjust for brightness, image quality, white balance settings, and color tones. The camera also features a built-in flash with four modes: on, off, automatic, and anti-red eye. The camera, in addition to stills and video, also has a setting for capturing a sequence of shots. There are six capture-scene settings available, including portrait, sports, and landscape. If all the Nokia N90 had was a camera, it would still be a solid entry into the field, but there are a few other features worth mentioning. The phone, in addition to MMS and instant messaging, has email with attachment support. Attachments in a variety of file types, including jpegs, Word documents, and PDFs, can be viewed. The phone offers Nokia's quality reception, in addition the usual accoutrements, including a phonebook more. For a phone that has a "cool" factor--and the features to back it up--the Nokia N90 is worth a look.
