The Nokia 7610 bears passing resemblance to the Nokia candybar phones of old, but this phone surpasses those in every way (which is saying something, considering Nokia's well-deserved reputation). A smartphone that boasts the intuitive Symbian operating system, the 7610 is a powerful phone in a small (three-quarters of an inch thick) package.

Like all Nokia phones, the 7610 offers great reception. In a side-by-side test of two different phones with the same service provider, the Nokia offered three more bars of signal. As impressive as that is, it's no more than what Nokia users have grown used to over the years. The small size and internal antenna make the 7610 very purse- and pocket-friendly.

The phonebook can hold up to 1,000 separate names, and each name can have multiple entries. The phone comes loaded with several polyphonic ringtones. More ringtones, as well as MP3s, can be downloaded via the phone's internet application. The Nokia 7610 is voice-dialing enabled. Used in conjunction with the Bluetooth connectivity and wireless headset, this can make dialing and using the phone easy and convenient.

The megapixel camera both takes photos and video clips up to 10 minutes in length. The user can then use the Nokia 7610 to send these pictures or videos in an MMS message. Additionally, the user can take pictures of his or her friends and assign those to phonebook entries for picture caller ID. The lithium-ion battery rates up to three hours of digital talk time, with up to 250 hours of digital standby time.
