Nokia 6620

As a high-end smartphone, the Nokia 6620 is the phone to get for users who need their cell phones to be more than just phones. The easy-to-learn Symbian operating system allows for any number of third-party applications and peripherals. Other features include removable memory expansion, Bluetooth connectivity, EDGE high-speed data, and a VGA camera. The 6620, like so many Nokia phones, excels at good reception.

The address book on the 6620 is limited only by the amount of memory in the phone. The phone itself comes with 12 MB and ships with a 32 MB card. Memory cards are available that significantly raise this number even higher. Theoretically, the address book could contain thousands upon thousands of different names with enough memory in the phone. The phone comes equipped with several polyphonic ringtones and a vibrating alert is also available. Additional ringtones or MP3s can be downloaded as well.

The Nokia 6620 is a powerful messaging and internet tool. Utilizing MMS technology, the phone can send text, video, audio, or graphic (or any combination of these) messages. Instant messaging (such as with AOL Instant Messenger) is also available, as is an email client with POP3 and IMAP protocols. The phone has a built-in web browser and can even be used as a portable wireless modem.

The VGA camera takes 640 by 480 pixel photographs, as well as video clips. The camera has a self-timer, digital zoom, and night mode functions. Stills and videos can be saved either to the phone's built-in memory, or to an expansion card. The 6620 supports playback of MP3 and AAC audio files. By employing headphones, the user can listen to music on the Nokia 6620.
