Nokia 3220

A cell phone can be about so much more than just communication. The Nokia 3220 is just such a phone. The 3220 combines a sleek, stylish look with power and functionality.

The Nokia 3220 is geared towards teens, with a rugged yet stylish design that can hold up to rattling around with textbooks inside a backpack. Thick rubber bumpers line the sides of the phone for extra protection; they even glow when there's an incoming call. The front of the phone houses a large (128 by 128) display, with over 65,000 colors. The buttons are large and easy to press (a problem on some other phones). Different covers can be added to the Nokia 3220 to create a custom look for the phone.

The 3220 comes crammed with features and applications as well. A large phonebook allows all of a person's friends to be organized in one place. Other applications include a calculator, alarm clock, and built-in email client. The user can also easily access the Internet with the 3220. The phone comes with four games pre-loaded: Survivor, Club Pinball, Dance Delight, and Phantom Spider. The optional Xpress-on fun shell allows the user to tilt the handset in three dimensions, utilizing it as a joystick.

The VGA camera on the back of the phone can take both pictures and videos. An image-editing application (included) allows the pictures to be modified before saving or sending them. Up to five minutes of voice or music can be recorded as a ringtone as well.
