The Nextel i930 is also GSM-enabled, with full internet, email, and text messaging capabilities. There is also a 300K pixel VGA camera phone. This camera can not only take still photos but can also record video in 10-second clips. Users can store these photos on their phones, upload them to their PCs, or send them as graphical attachments.

The "smartphone" capabilities are really what take this phone to the next level. It runs on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 operating system. Using this OS, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat PDF documents are viewable right from the phone. In essence, the Nextel i930 is a phone with PDA functions, as opposed to the other way around, meaning that the features don't overwhelm its usability.
