JBL has been in the home stereo business since the 1940s. JBL audio
systems are available in a range of styles, including in-wall and
outdoor speakers, bookshelf speakers, multimedia speakers, subwoofers
and floor standing speakers. JBL speakers offer users market-leading
sound quality and stereo equipment, and come in quite a price range.
JBL bookshelf speakers and JBL floor standing speakers are offered in
a number of lines. Speaker series include the Control series, the HT
series, K2 series, Northridge series and more. Each series is designed
for a particular use, from home theater to music concert speakers. Some
lines, such as the TiK line, shift the focus to aesthetics; this line is
designed for those who want their speakers to blend into the decor
seamlessly.
The Professional series from JBL speakers offers over a dozen
products designed for supreme quality home stereo sound. JBL speakers in
this line include the PT800, a stand-mountable floor standing speaker
that features an eight-inch tower and titanium inverted-dome midrange
transducers. Basically, this means that tweeter functions blend
seamlessly with sound output to produce a surprisingly clear sound. Bass
is generally undistorted and complements the titanium tweeters and
midrange speakers.
Eight-Ohm impedance and high frequency response (at least 40KHz) is
typical of JBL bookshelf and floor standing speakers. Even the smallest
Control Series Control1Extreme speakers pump out up to 80 watts of power
per channel. These speakers are a good option for consumers who want
high-quality sound, but don't need the penultimate system (or price, for
that matter).
