Simply put, Carvin has created a niche as one of the best professional grade amplification manufacturers in the business. They have a full line of both Carvin guitar amps and Carvin bass amps in a wide range of prices and sizes. Though they may not have the easy identification as some of the "heavy metal" amps, Carvin creates a high-quality product that should not be overlooked. On the lighter side of things, Carvin has some excellent amps designed for acoustic guitars. Their AG100D is one of the great Carvin guitar amps that serves as a perfect example of the high quality that they put into all of their products. This acoustic amp comes complete with a three-channel 100-watt output. It features a heavy-duty PS12 woofer and high-quality horn tweeter for fuller-sounding amplification.
The AG100D also features dual 24-bit digital effects on either or both of its channels. In short, this means that you can have one or both effects on one channel and a different combination of effects on the second channel at the same time. The available effects include reverb, chorus, echo, delay, and flanging. To top it off, all of the effects are delivered in full stereo.
If you happen be more "old school" in tastes, but don't necessarily want a used Carvin amp, Carvin has some excellent classic-style amps as well. Their Vintage 16 is an excellent amp that harkens back to the '60s-style amplifiers. It comes complete with genuine Celestion speakers and EL84s for nice power. True to form, the Vintage 16 features three real 12AX7 tubes for that warm, fuzzy amplification. A serious musician with a smaller budget can find a good used Carvin amp. With the Vintage 16 you get all the benefits of a vintage used Carvin amp while still getting the ultimate in sound technology.
