Before we get started, I must first say that, ultimately, this list, and all the others that have come before and will come after it, is irrelevant and completely flawed. As much as I hate to say that (about my own list even!) it is true, since "greatness" is not in any way a measurable quantity or even anything that can be taken as a real characteristic. It is rather an abstract idea that the general public has accepted as an adjective for a certain movie, band, T.V. show etc. that they personally find to be entertaining, or even life-altering. The same thought process partly went into the making of this list. I did a lot of research and about half of my own opinion and half of other collective lists from all over books the internet goes into the following collection of films, all of which have been revered as simply the best in the history of cinema. Of course, as hard as I have worked on this to make it as good a list a possible, there are parts everyone will disagree with. While it would just be easy to say to hell with all of you for thinking different then my opinion, but that would be wrong, hypocritical, and insulting, but sense I have limited space here to type with, I'm just goanna say, to hell with all of you. This list also includes the best (though not always the least expensive) ways to buy and watch these films on DVD or VHS. I'm also not giving any commentary on this, it's just my own list of the best movies ever. Here's #51-100 of the top 300 films in history.
