Become a die hard Motley Crue fan by Some Gravity

Hello,this is the reviewer Some Gravity,You may have read some of my reviews before;a big thank You goes to all of the people who have given me all of the positive votes I've gotten so far(149 and counting)!Anyway,You may have seen by reading some of my reviews that I am a die hard Motley Crue fan,so I am here to tell YOU how you can become a die hard Crue fan if you want to. Anyway,let's get started:

HOW TO BECOME A CRUE FAN:

There are several ways you can become a part of Motley Crue's crew,and as of 2005,the best way to become a Motley Crue fan is to purchase their new two disc set "Red,White,and Crue"-it covers their entire career on two discs;EVERY song Motley Crue released as a single(with the exception of SHOUT AT THE DEVIL '97,and really,it was good but not having it on there is not really a big deal)is on there,and since the original members of The Crue(Vince Neil,Nikki Sixx,Tommy Lee,and Mick Mars)are all back together,they put three new songs on disc two:IF I DIE TOMMOROW,SICK LOVE SONG,and a cover of The Rolling Stones' STREET FIGHTING MAN.An excellent compilation,and a compilation that should appeal to both casual music listeners who don't own any Motley Crue albums and people who are already die hard Crue fans. However,if you don't want your introduction to The Crue to be a greatest hits package,and you want it to be an introduction you can afford(their MUSIC TO CRASH YOUR CAR TO box sets are expensive)then go pick up either the re-issued version of their fourth album,GIRLS,GIRLS,GIRLS(1987)and/or their fifth album,DR. FEELGOOD(1989). Those are all good introductions to The Crue.

HOW TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BAND:

Several books about Motley Crue have been released,and my advice is that if you want a book about The Crue,ignore biographies that have written about the band and grab their autobiography,THE DIRT-Vince Neil,Nikki Sixx,Tommy Lee,and Mick Mars wrote it about their lives inside and outside of Motley Crue,several interesting facts,shocking stories,and pictures were included in there,and they even brought in people They've worked with to help them write the book-I've read a lot of good rock autobiographies before,and this is probably the best one I've EVER read.

OTHER CRUE MERCHANDISE:

Back in 2003,Motley Crue released a DVD entitled GREATEST VIDEO HITS that featured their music videos from 1981/1982 up until 2000,and it is the way ALL bands should release their DVDS with music videos-with that DVD,You get twenty-one videos in the main video set list,there are six bonus videos there(as well as three hidden ones)and Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee did an interview where they talked about the music videos that are to be found on that DVD;the only ones they didn't mention were the hidden videos(read reviews of the DVD on how to access the hidden videos)and the video for HELL ON HIGH HEELS-casual Crue fans and people who have been die hard Crue fans for several years now should be quite satisfied with this video collection. I am sorry I forgot to mention this already,but back in late 1990,Slaughter,the 80's/90's hair metal band that had the hit song UP ALL NIGHT(SLEEP ALL DAY)and a few other hit songs released a video supporting their first album entitled FROM THE BEGINNING,and the beginning of the video shows Vince Neil and Tommy Lee at the Denver Grand Prix,racing against the line-up of Slaughter at the time(Mark Slaughter,Dana Strum,Blas Elias,and Tim Kelly)as well as Jack Russell--fans of both Slaughter and Motley Crue should like that video/DVD--Halfvalue.com has it on video(see my review)but you can get it on both video and DVD off of Ebay.There are also TWO box sets available by the band,one is MUSIC TO CRASH YOUR CAR TO:VOLUME ONE,and the other is MUSIC TO CRASH YOUR CAR TO:VOLUME TWO-MTCYCTV1 contains the Motley Crue albums TOO FAST FOR LOVE,SHOUT AT THE DEVIL,THEATRE OF PAIN,and GIRLS,GIRLS,GIRLS(plus the Leathur original mix of TOO FAST FOR LOVE that is NOT available anywhere else yet)repackaged with bonus tracks,and,in addition to that box set,you get a nice booklet that comes with it-the booklet has pictures of Vince Neil,Nikki Sixx,Tommy Lee,and Mick Mars back in the 80's,and TWO stories about the band are in there. As for MTCYCTV2,that contains The Crue albums DR. FEELGOOD,their self-titled grunge album with John Corabi on lead vocals,their limited mail order QUETERNARY EP from 1994 that also found Motley Crue attempting grunge and also feautured John Corabi on lead vocals,as well as some tracks from their now hard to find DECADE OF DECADENCE compilation mixed in with a bunch of unreleased material and material from their SUPERSONIC AND DEMONIC RELICS COMPILATION(which consisted of mostly b-sides and unreleased material)-that box set also comes with a booklet,a story about The Crue and pictures of them(although there are no pictures of John Corabi in the booklet)as well as a poster from the DECADE OF DECADENCE compilation and a comic book that has THREE comic strips in it.

OVERALL:

Motley Crue are one of the finest rock bands America has EVER seen,and it is great to see that they have been so succesful. Anyway,if you do intend on becoming a die hard Crue fan,then I hope this guide helped you out,I hope you have a great day,and don't forget...Motley Crue rules!!!!!!!!!!
