by Liang Ming, social worker, lover of literature and all things Asian Asia is so vast with so many beautiful countries and where better to learn about different cultures than through literature. As a student of Asian culture one can be overwhelmed by all the various lands and social customs. By reading well written fiction and non-fiction the serious student as well as the lover of literature is bound to be rewarded by reading the words of the various authors who have chosen to set their stories in an Asian setting. A list of Asian related books would be impossible to compile so I have found it a great benefit to rely on the suggestions of others and now I am including the names of the books I especially enjoyed on a list that can be a starting point for anyone interested not only in Asia, but in the well written word.
