Barely better. Their lack of evolution in between the two is disappointing, but hey, whatever. 3/5Notes: Those Who Laugh Last..., Cruise Control

SPEAKING of evolution...yeah they get angry, hard, fast, and screaming. The problem is that it is bad screaming. It is their most irritating cd. 2/5 Notes: Intro

OK, its just that this one isnt like the other EPs. Most of the songs ended up on the Black Sails full-length, except for Who Knew 4/5 Notes: Who Knew

Get this instead. It has Who Knew on it, and hey its good to branch off musically. 4/5

Black Sails in the Sunset by A.F.I.

Their first great full-length. This cd is when the new guitarist Jade Puget played such a large role, revolutionizing the band. 5/5 Notes: Strength in Wounding, Last Kiss

Their greatest album. It had the darkness they have been striving for, alone with the punk rock roots. MMMMMM 5/5 Notes:Days of the Phoenix, Despair Factor, Sacrifice Theory

Too lazy to listen to all them and get up to date?? SHAME ON YOU! But buy this and get some of the best songs from those cds. All the above are still recomended, though. 4/5

Close second to A of D. While i think they achieved what they wanted to in darkness and goth level, they might have lost touch with what they used to be about. Amazing, though. 5/5 Notes: Bleed Black

One of AFI's biggest influences, especially with their recent music. Dark and brooding, with just a hint of happiness, the Cure rule. 5/5 Notes: Lovesong

Walk Among Us by Misfits

Not a big fan myself, but they are probably AFI's biggest influence, in many ways.

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 by Coheed & Cambria

The same kind of anthemic arena rock that AFI can bring about. Amazing. Went on tour with AFI with the next band. 5/5 Notes: In Keeping Secrets, Favor House Atlantic

War All the Time by Thursday

This is more of the Black Sails kind of AFI. Powerful melodies with screaming for emphasis. Beautiful. 5/5 Notes: Steps Ascending, Falling Bomb
