Taxi cab regulations requires that when temperatures rise above 85, I must use my A/C when I have passengers, and that the car must be cool when they get in. Sitting for an hour or more in the sun, waiting for a call a for someone to come out of a hotel and get the cab rather warm. It takes time to cool it back down. When watching British Sitcoms here in the USA I'm always struck by the fact that the families always seem to have a refrigerator the size of one used in a Dorm Room. Do Europeans really use refrigerators that small and not like the 6 foot tall ones we use? How much power does the lowest power refrigerator use? I want one that's small, lightweight, cheap, and quiet. It only needs to be big enough to keep a few small snacks or drinks cold. I am a design student & I want to design a refrigerator for small-space living. I am wondering what materials are best or necessary to use and how a refrigerator is generally manufactured ?? I Just got a mini fridge for my room. It's pretty old (got it from a rummage sale),but in good condition and works just fine. I dont want the electricity bill to sky rocket,so about how much power does one use? will it make a noticable difference in the electricity bill? Does anybody know the best way to clean a small refrigerator? What cleaners should I use, if any? Also, the small freezer compartment has frost on it. What should I use to melt it? I want to surprise everyone by cleaning it out one morning. I am trying to make my own keg refrigerator. I have a complete keg kit that I want to use to make a kegerator. I would like to use a small compact refrigerator that can fit a full size keg. If you have done this or if you know which brand and model I can use to do this project, please let me know. I want it to be low because the kit I have has the handle that suppose to go on top of the refrigerator. My husband is concerned about RADIATION. It's a long distance downstairs to the refrigerator and I don't want to leave him on the bed alone nor take him up and down the stairs. Both items are new in the box. When watching British Sitcoms here in the USA I'm always struck by the fact that the families always seem to have a refrigerator the size of one used in a Dorm Room. Do Europeans really use refrigerators that small and not like the 6 foot tall ones we use? I want to develop a small, roof mount, air conditioner for my taxi cab, that would allow me to turn the engine off during the heat of the day, and still remain cool. The fridge is empty and will not be used for a long time, (could be couple months, maybe even a full year). What temperature should it be set to? I don't think we want to turn it completely off because when we do get a chance to get to the lake house, we don't have a ton of time to devote to cooling down the fridge. Thanks so much! We have a lake house a few hours away from our home. We just bought a small refrigerator for the house. Do Europeans really use refrigerators that small and not like the 6 foot tall ones we use? I want to develop a small, roof mount, air conditioner for my taxi cab, that would allow me to turn the engine off during the heat of the day, and still remain cool. I want to make a wood platform that would be used to sit on a carpeted floor and serve as a base for a small refrigerator with a microwave on top and a similarly sized cabinet. How would I go about that, and what kind of support would be needed? Should it just be one row of beams, or should there be supports under it to help preserve the carpeting? Would this even be reasonable? Is there anywhere I could buy something like that already made? If so, can I have a link? Thanks! I'm not going to raise night crawlers for resale.
