Amazon.com Product Description
The GMC A3BPMAG Magnesium Triple Blade Planer is best described as the world's most advanced planer. GMC has taken innovation and design excellence to the next level with this revolutionary, patented tool. The three-blade drum design provides a higher rate of material removal for superior cutting action, reduced vibration, and a smoother finish as compared to traditional two-blade planers. The A3BPMAG provides three cuts instead of two, with an adjustable planing depth of0-1/8-inch over the same travel distance, to provide a superior finish without that unwanted scallop effect.
The Woodrazor uses a three-blade drum design for the smoothest finish.

With magnesium construction, this lightweight planer has superior strength and increased durability. With a continuous thirst for innovation, GMC invests heavily in research and design and has kept a close watch on innovations in non-powertool industries, such as aerospace and sporting goods. As a result, its tools feature design elements that reflect changes in those industries' various material developments. For instance, GMC tools have benefited enormously from the use of magnesium in their design.
So what's so special about magnesium? It's simple: magnesium is lighter, stronger, and more durable. In fact, it is the lightest of the structural metals -- 75-percent lighter than steel, 50-percent lighter than titanium, and 32-percent lighter than aluminum. Many power tools on the market feature extensive use of aluminum, which can make them heavy to hold over extended periods of use. Unlike aluminum, magnesium components are lighter weight, and therefore reduce user fatigue and increase safety. Magnesium offers superior strength compared to other materials commonly used in the manufacturing process. This superior strength helps increase the durability and life of your tool for a longer period of time under rigid and frequent use.
This planer features a powerful 6 amp motor that allows for heavy-duty use, including the planing of hard woods. Running at 48,000 cuts per minute, the A3BPMAG delivers a smoother finish and faster cuts. The rubber grip handles, switch, and depth selector are designed for maximum comfort and control. For increased accuracy and stability, this planer features a fully cast base and 3 1/4-inch planing width. In addition, GMC utilizes a Vertical Center of Gravity (VCG) design for improved balance during operation. This makes planing easier and allows chips to flow freely to the adjustable dust/shavings extraction guide that directs chips to either the left or the right of the work piece. The A3BPMAG also features three V-grooves that make it easy to locate the planer securely on a corner for rebating of edges. The planer also features a power lock-off button that prevents accidental operation, as well as an easy-to-carry storage case.

Product Description
GMC has once again taken innovation and design excellence to the next level with its revolutionary and world patented triple blade planer. The 3 blade drum design provides a higher rate of material removal for superior cutting action, reduced vibration, and a smoother finish compared to the traditional 2 blade design. Magnesium construction provides superior strength, lighter weight and increased durability. The Vertical Centre of Gravity (VCG) design offers improved balance during operation making planing easier and allows chips to flow freely to the dust extraction port. An adjustable planing depth of 1/8??? allows more material to be removed in one pass for improved productivity and 48000 cuts per minute provides a smoother finish and faster cut, especially in hard woods. For added convenience the adjustable dust/shavings extraction guide allows chips to be directed to either the left or right side of the workpiece.
