Free English Lessons!

Would you like a free English lesson every month? Students cannot always leave home immediately to come and study English, so the English Language Institute at the University of Houston-Downtown has included free English lessons on its website, www.uhd.edu/eli.

The lessons change monthly. The level of difficulty changes monthly. These lessons do not replace studying English at school. They are only meant to give you something fun to do to polish your English skills while you wait for your chance to study English in the United States.

Click on the Free English link at our website to see an explanatory page and to log in for a lesson! You can log in as often as you want. Be sure to check the requirements for the computer you use – our lessons have audio and sometimes video components. We hope you enjoy the challenge of our lessons!

The ELI endorses the NAFSA Principles of International Educational Exchange and the TESOL Standards for Postsecondary Programs and is a member meeting the standards of the American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP).
