The University of Texas System comprises fifteen educational institutions in Texas, of which nine are general academic universities and six are health institutions. The UT System also offers online courses and degrees from UT institutions via the UT TeleCampus.
 

The University of Texas at Austin was ranked by The Times as the world's 15th top ranking university overall.[2] Seven doctoral programs at the University rank in the top 10 in the nation and 22 degree programs rank in the top 25, according to a comprehensive study of the quality of graduate schools conducted by the United States National Research Council.
