SUNY Oswego - Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees

Located on the southeastern shore of Lake Ontario, and founded in 1861, the SUNY Oswego is part of one of the largest public university systems in the United States. SUNY Oswego is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and consistently ranks among Kiplinger's "Top 100 Best Values in Public Colleges" in America.

When comparing costs of various universities, always ensure that the same items are being compared. For more information on our academic programs, costs and scholarships, an admissions checklist and application, student visas, medical insurance, on-campus employment, housing, and students activities or news about the city of Oswego visit our International Student and Scholar Services web site.

Our campus ranks in the top 15 % of nearly 1,500 four-year colleges for safety. The campus is situated on 280 hectares of lakeshore located about an hour's drive north of the city of Syracuse, and six to seven hours from New York City and Boston. The famous Niagara Falls are four hours away. In addition, the Canadian cities of Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto are from four to five hours drive from campus.

SUNY Oswego has 3,650 female and 3,150 male students, including 300 graduate students and about 100 International students from more than 30 countries. Graduate and undergraduate programs are offered in the School of Business, the School of Education, and the College of Arts and Sciences. For specifics on our graduate programs, please visit our Graduate Studies Office web site.

As a predominantly residential campus, nearly two-thirds of the undergraduate students live in eleven residence halls. The Hart Hall Global Living and Learning Center is a residence designed to foster and increase understanding between International and American students, and these students contribute to both the campus and local Oswego community through specific projects.

There are some 100 extracurricular organizations covering a wide range of social, academic, cultural, and intellectual interests. Theater, art, film, and dance events complete the campus cultural calendar.
