(1 stars) - Bad Shipping Method
I know the shipping was free and I guess the old adage is true, you get what you pay for. I received my Rowenta IB6100 Precision ironing board in the worst packing I have ever seen. A single layer of thin plastic was the only wrapping. The ironing board cover was ripped and I had to order a new cover. You could tell the package had received the typical handling by the shipper. I could try to return the ironing board and pay all the additional shipping charges. I could spend a lot of time and effort trying to fix the negligent packing job. However, I will just go to another site, not amazon.com, and order a new cover. I will never order from Amazon.com. I have been leery of the quality than might be associated with amazon.com for some time and thus I had never ordered from the site. Well I was not disappointed it was a horrible experience. Total cost for the ironing board was $74.97 plus $27.00 for a new cover for a total of $101.97 They will probably not post this one - lol.

(2 stars) - I REALLY wanted to love it, but don't.
My 20+ year old ironing board was on it's last legs and I'm a huge fan of Rowenta irons, so when I saw this board on the Friday Sale I decided to go for it. I've used it for three days now and although I REALLY want to like it, I don't! First of all, it's not level . . . maybe it got damaged due to the flimsy cardboard shipping material. I also find the iron holder and clothes hanger almost useless. I'm 5'6" and clothes touch the floor when hung from the hanger. Plus the iron holder is so far away from the end of the board that it's totally inconvenient to use. The iron holder also limits the ironing surface so that only the pointy end of the board can be used, which doesn't make sense, especially when the square end of a typical ironing board is so useful for pressing the backs of shirts and the like. One feature I do like is the overall size of the board. I would think twice and consider what features of an ironing board are important to you before making this purchase. Am I going to return the board? No - it simply seems too difficult to try to re-wrap it and ship it back. I'm going to try to get used to it and maybe in a few months I'll change my opinion of this monster.

The ironing board is great. However the cover is not great.it looks very cheap and thin. I placed my old ironing board cover on top of it.

(3 stars) - The board is sufficient but could be better.
I shopped a lot for a new ironing board, and thought this was the best for my purposes. It is sturdy and the size is fine, but two things bother me. First, the release mechanism is awkward to use. Secondly, the hanging area by the iron holder is unusable. I am 5 feet tall, so I don't set the board really high. All of my husband's shirts drag on the floor and get wrinkled, when I hang them at the end of the board. I need to buy myself an extra hanging rack. Also the shipping packaging was very poor - only a plastic bag. Two parts of the frame were scratched and a hole was ripped in the plastic and there was a sizeable black grease stain on the cover. I'm using the board, but for the cost of it, I am disappointed.

I iron on laundry day all the clothes at once so I set up the ironing board only once a week. I set it up in front of a chair and iron about 30-40 things at once (family of 6) I am not bumping the ironing board all the time with my legs because the curving of the ironing board legs. It adjusts vry low (for sitting) and very high for my husband (6'2'') It is a bit heavy. It hangs realy flush with he wall when not in use maybe a depth of about 2-3 inches. The hanging bar can be used to hold ironed clothes or strong enough to hold weight of itself for hanging up to get out of the way. I would buy it again.
