I have not owned a video camera in 10 years, they sure have changed. I hated to carry a bulky camera around. Well now I can carry a camera in jacket where ever I go. Truly wonderful. The picture is superb. Highly recommend it, except for the software, I would use a 3rd party software like iMovie, etc...

(1 stars) - Terrible Experience with UltraHD
My first time having such a bad experience with a product that is otherwise so popular.

I got a brand new UltraHD and immediately wanted to test it out with some test videos. Loaded the battery-pack and was up and running on capturing video's immediately. Connected the Camcorder to my laptop running Windows XP Professional via the USB interface, the software installed and was able to upload the video to Youtube. So far so good. The video quality was really nice. However, when I disconnected UltraHD from my ldaptop, it just wouldn't power-on. I took the batter-pack out and again connected it to the laptop to make sure there wasn't a problem with the unit. Same thing happened again. I Googled for the issue and to my surprise, many folks had faced the same problem.

Next day, I contacted the customer support and they gave me 5 steps to follow and promised the issue will be resolved. However, it still didn't work and that's when I decided to return the product.

I was really hoping to use flipUltraHD but was completely disappointed by the quality of the product.

Absolute value for money, this is one of my best buys for 2009! The only negative is the power switch on the side, taht gets accidentally switched ON while the unit is in the pouch (The suede pouch is also very good, by the way).
