(5 stars) - Sturdy construction, works as it should.
This cable is sturdy and works just as it should. We've had no problems whatsoever since plugging it in.

(4 stars) - Solid but overhyped
If you're not lucky enough to live close to a Fry's, this 50 ft unshielded Cate5e cable is as good a deal as you're likely to find online. I use it for my blu-ray player, and it's functioned without fail for the past two weeks. It is a bit slower due to the 50 ft length versus the 6 ft length of the previous cable. If you are into activities like multi-player gaming, make sure you buy the length that you need and not much more.

I do not agree with Amazon's claim that four UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cables will minimize noise and interference. If you really want to protect your data from EM interference, you need to pay a little more and get yourself a shielded ethernet cable.

All in all, this is a bargain for a quality 50 ft ethernet cable with some nice features, but don't hesitate to trade up if data integrity is mission critical to your business.

(4 stars) - Good, but flimsy.
This ethernet cable does what it's supposed to, but the overall thickness of the wire itself isn't up to par compared to some I've used. Because of it's thinner quality, I'm forced to be much more conscious of accidentally twisting it, stepping on it, or pulling on it, should it harm the inner contents.

(5 stars) - Just what I needed
A 50ft Cat5e cable for less than $10 is a great deal, especially when the cable works perfectly right out of the box like this one. The cable is fairly flexible and well made which is important to me. The connectors fit securely when plugged into my PC, router, DVR, or Xbox 360. Amazon's Frustration Free packaging is nice - the cable comes in a simple flip-top cardboard box, no plastic or other materials to tear apart or cut away. The warranty is only for a year, but it's very rare for a Cat5e cable to go bad unless it falls victim to some kind of physical abuse. At this price I can afford to replace the cable if I need to.

(5 stars) - AmazonBasics Cable gets the job done
I run half of my home computer network wirelessly and the other half on Cat5 cables, which allow for greater security and higher speeds than WiFi. The AmazonBasics RJ45 Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable seems to be as fast as any of the cables I've used. The white color blends in with my white walls in places where I cannot hide cables behind furniture and equipment.

The price of this cable is comparable to other online stores and less than most brick-and-mortar stores. The Amazon packaging is nice in that it comes straight out the box without having to cut any plastic to free it and without anything hard to untie. I like the protective covers at each end of the cable on the plugs. They should stop the plastic tabs from breaking off, a problem I've experienced with other cables. As for durability, only time will tell.
