(2 stars) - Poorly designed lid latch
I purchased two of these for my newborn about 9 months ago. They worked great for 6 months but then the lid wouldn't latch closed, so the exposed wipe would dry out quickly, as well as the absorbent pillow. In order to continue using this, I need to place a weight on top of the lid, which is inconvenient during a diaper change with a squirmy baby.

(5 stars) - Excellent wipes warmer. No problems at all.
This wipes warmer has been nothing but great for us. Our baby girl used to scream when we'd wipe her with unwarmed wipes (they really are cold!). So I decided to give this a try. What a difference! Now she doesn't cry when we wipe her. The wipes always come out warm and moist - which is great especially since winter is approaching. We use Pampers Sensitive wipes and haven't had any trouble with them drying out or turning brown. You just have to remember to moisten the pad every week to keep this warmer working properly. Would buy this item again in a heartbeat...

(2 stars) - Lid doesn't latch
From the first day we had this wipe warmer the lid has not stayed latched which causes the first wipe to dry out. Also the night light is nice to have but I wish there was an on/off switch for it because it is really bright in a dark room. To solve these problems I have to push the first wipe back into the warmer and put a folded burp cloth over the light. Other then those issues it has worked fine for over a year. I would not recommend this warmer. There has to be a better designed one out there.

Got this as a gift at my baby shower.

It's ok but not something one needs. I actually stopped using mine now because of the hassle. Read on...

If it's winter and you want this wipe then go right ahead BUT be sure to have the wipes VERY CLOSE to the baby. I initially had mine about 6 ft away from baby so my husband grabbed the wipe and passed it to me while I was changing my son.

Thing is that the once warm wipe became cold in approx 3 to 5 seconds, even if we crumpled it up in the palm of our hands. Eventually I found a better place to keep it next to baby, however the wipes kept getting stuck in the bottom part of the warmer so i eventually got tired of lifting the cover and pushing the wipes through to the top.

This was just too much trouble for me. My son has never flinched when touched by the wipes or signaled in any other way of the wipes being cold.

If you're wondering if this should be an item on the 'must have ' list then the answer is NO WAY.

I bought this item for my first child who is now slightly over two years old. I loved how easily the wipes popped came out of the top and never fell down into the warmer itself. However, shortly after her first birthday, the mechanism that keeps the lid shut broke and I've spent the last year holding down the lid every time I pull out a wipe. Plus, buying and wetting the pads were a bit of a hassle. I am now about to have our second child and purchased the Munchkin soft glow wipes warmer but like it even less because the wipes fall down into the warmer once you start to get to the bottom of the stack. Plus, the lid on the munchkin doesn't close as nicely or securely as the Prince Lionheart did. I'm still searching for something that doesn't require the insert pads, but it doesn't look like there is anything out there.
