(4 stars) - Effective workout with great instructor
This is an effective program for toning your legs. Lisa Wheeler is a great instructor; she is motivating without being annoying or over-the-top, and she gives great tips about form. The cardio program is a dance program, but the choreography can be complex and hard to follow, which is why I gave this DVD 4 stars instead of 5. However, I am not much of a dancer, so it's possible that other people may find it much easier to follow. I do the toning programs regularly and find them quite effective. The first one is ballet-based and includes plies, lunges, arabesques, and chair poses. The second toning segment is based in yoga and Pilates and includes plank positions, low lunges, and bridges. Both toning segments offer a great variety to effectively work the muscles, and they are cued exceptionally well. The length of the toning segments (12 minutes each) also makes it easy to mix them in with other DVDs to create a great, total body workout.

I can only rate my experience since I have not recieved the product. From the date I had ordered it back in March, I have yet to recieve it. this is troublesome at best. I wish that I could give it no stars.



(4 stars) - rather complex choreography but fun once you get it. toning workouts are good.
This DVD was previously released as Shape your Buns Hips and Thighs (2004) with Lisa Wheeler. The first section of the DVD contains a 38 minute cardio dance workout with rather complicated and tricky choreography. I think the camera angle is bad on certain moves but I was still able to get it despite my two left feet. Once I was familiar with the workout, I was able to enjoy it and add more intensity (although still not intense enough for me.) The second section of the DVD contains 12 minutes of all-standing lower body toning such as plies, curtsey lunges, and other classic ballet-inspired movements. The third section of the DVD is performed on the floor with a combination of yoga and pilates moves. I love the toning segments of this DVD more than the cardio. There is a 12 minute total-body toning workout with Tracy York (the same workout found in Shape Sculpt Your Abs previously released as Shape Your Abs). This workout uses compound moves with weights.
