Product Reviews (1 stars) - I do NOT like this I bought my first sansa three years ago and it was awesome, I liked it alot. Then one day it refused to turn on or connect to my computer. I thought it was just its time to die, because I had gotten alot of use out of it. Last week I ordered the Fuze 8gb, and I thought it was really nice. I put some music on it and the first time I tried to use it, IT WOULDN'T TURN ON OR CONNECT TO MY COMPUTER! The battery is fully charged, so the blue wheel stays lit, but you cannot turn it off, and it won't power up completely. This is the same thing that happened to my old one, only this one is BRAND NEW! Maybe its a sansa glitch? All I know is I'm very angry about this and now have to go through all the hassles of returning this item. I think I'm gonna go Ipod after all.
(5 stars) - Worth every penny This player is definitely better than the last (e280), and after 3 months of use I must say it functions in some ways more efficiently and in other ways more fast.
Pros::
-The controls are a leap up, with the scrolling dial taking the place of the 4 tiny thin buttons of the e280, so big thumbs are happy.
-Earphones plug into the bottom of the player, unlike the top as with the e280. I personally find it an improvement, especially since the earphone jack has a tighter bite on the plug.
-Dust doesn't collect under the screen!!!! This was a big problem with the e280
Cons::
-I experienced no strange problems or stalling as with the e280 yet, but the player doesn't respond to stimulus via the scroller until after nearly a full revolution (no big deal...)
-It now has a "hold/power" switch, which I just can't fully enjoy as much as the e280's power button (no big deal...)
This player rocks terrific, but be sure to buy a protective plastic casing to keep it from scratching and getting clogged with dust (who can avoid it otherwise?)
(5 stars) - Awesome product! I had a Sansa e280 before and someone lost it. I decided to upgrade to this one. It has all the great features that the other one had and works just as well if not better! Oh, I like the little control wheel of the Fuse more than that of the e280. Also, I paid less for this one!! And the screen is a little bigger on this one. I think this mp3 player is awesome for the price!
(4 stars) - Real Value for Money I'm enjoying the Sanza MP3 player. The sound's great and the headphones very comfortable. The prize's great for the memory size (compared with ipod). It's also very lightweight.
I'm yet to use the video so can't comment on it now.
The only downside I see is that it has no speakers (many other mp3s don't have speakers). There are times when you'd like others nearby to partake of the media being played and you simply can't do that with headphones.
All the same, great buy.
(1 stars) - Computer won't Recognize Player I got this as a birthday present. The first one had to be returned because the battery would not hold a charge right out of the box. The second one would charge but in order to have it recognized as a device, I had to research a work around, change settings and uninstall/reinstall it. Turns out, many other Fuze owners have this problem as well, both at start-up and a few months into using it. Way too much work for an MP3 player. Not sure if I will keep it or send it back for a refund.
