(5 stars) - Swiffer Sweeper cloths trap hair, dust and dirt instead of pushing it around
This product - Swiffer Sweeper Dry Sweeping Cloths, Febreze Fresh Scent Citrus & Light, 32-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) - was worthy of a 5-star rating back in May 2009, when we made our initial purchase. At that time, Amazon offered an extra 15% savings with their Subscribe & Save program. Unfortunately, this product is no longer available under that program, which means that the price is not as competitive as it was before.

We have two young sons (ages 7 and 5) and two small dogs and they all manage to track in dirt and dust, even though shoes aren't allowed in the house (and paws are vigorously wiped). The cloths are fantastic on wood floors, easily reaching into corners and under furniture. Unlike other brands we've tried, a Swiffer Sweeper cloth actually traps hair, dirt and dust instead of just pushing it around the floor.

Do we use both sides of the cloth refill? Yes, but the back of the cloth doesn't pick up as well. We usually save the back of the cloth for a second pass in the highest traffic areas.

While the Citrus & Light Febreze Fresh Scent is not cloying, it doesn't last as long as floor wax or a wet multi-cleaner.

In summary, I recommend the Swiffer Sweeper Dry Sweeping Cloths, Febreze Fresh Scent Citrus & Light, 32-Count Boxes (Pack of 3). I give it a five-star rating but I wish Amazon still offered the Subscribe & Save discount.

(5 stars) - SUPER SWIFFER REFILLS!
These refills are great. They have a very pleasant scent and can be used twice (just shake it off into the trash, then reverse it to use the unused side) It can double your savings. I also love the new design on the actual Swiffer duster. It can reach in tighter spaces and under beds as it swivels much better now. Together they work best on hardwood floors or laminate. A little difficult on ceramic floors because of the grout. Overall, a great, easy to use product!

I didn't think much of the Swiffer before as it did not seem to pick up dirt and cat hair. Decided to try it again and am much happier. Works better than expected on cat and dog hair and dust. Amazon has the best prices.

(1 stars) - don't buy these; cheaper and better alternative
I move to a 1000 sq ft apatment with almost all white tiles and it was so difficult to clean. I needed something and thought the Swifter would help. Their wet pads just pushed dirt all over, left dirt lines and didn't even clean around the grout lines even though I went through the area first with the dry pads for dirt. I would go through ~10 wet pads to "clean" my floors plus I would then have to go over the entire floor with my mircofiber towels. That did the job so I thought if I can replace their pads with a microfiber pads, it might work so I went on Amazon and found a microfiber cleaning pad, Tersano cleaning cloths and they fit the Swifter head snuggly, not the XL. It works!!! I don't have to continuously buy the chemical or dry pads to fill our landfills. The Tersano cloth pads are washable and because it thicker and absorbent, it cleans much better and doesn't deposit dirt in the floor grouts. The investment in the Tersano pads was ~$6.00 and the original Swifter starter kit was ~$11; not bad considering a typical sponge mop is ~$18 and are horrible on tile. Buy the Swifter but don't waste money or time with their wet or dry pads.

Great product! Don't know what I'd do without it. Easy to use (even my two year old loves to "swiffer"!) And the fresh citric scent is very nice - refreshing without being overwhelming.
