I bought this item for a young mother. Would that such a product were available when I was nursing my children! The patterns could be a little more subtle is all I wish.

I didn't have one of these with my first baby, so I struggled with positioning blankets which always fell off or didn't cover very well. This thing is perfect. Other reviewers say it doesn't work so well with an active baby--but it is 100 times better than a blanket with an active baby because they can just pull it right off. I LOVE that you can see your baby and noone else can. It is awesome. I have a beautiful pattern that my sister picked out for me, and she has the black and white one-which is also lovely. This is an absolute MUST HAVE for any mom who wants to nurse their baby and not bare it all while doing so! I wish I would've used it with my first son because it makes nursing in public places possible (with my first baby, I couldn't because he'd wiggle so much the blanket would fall off, or get too hot.) That is another thing, the fabric is so light weight that baby doesn't get too hot under the cover during warm weather, and the corner with terry cloth is brilliant for wiping up spit up. Don't get another brand, it won't hold up in the wash. This one holds up and the neck plastic doesn't warp after washing and drying. This is a wonderful product. Buy one!

I keep buying this as a shower gift. I had one with my last child. The truth is, I was never comfortable nursing in public which made it hard to let down. I think it was people who stared. I'm just not one of those moms who are comfortable with that. This made it possible for me to relax, which made nursing a better experience. I even nursed my way through Walt Disney World with our 4 month old. I loved it!

I love this product - I don't think I could breastfeed without it. It allows us to get out of the house and have a life without having to worry about where I'll be when it's time to feed next.

I like the color, the soft cotton which did not fade after washing, and the ease of getting it on and off. I would highly recomend this product to a new mom.
