(2 stars) - Clicky with wacky overdrive.
I needed a second guitar for Rock Band 2, and when I bought this, I stupidly assumed it would be the same as the one in the kit. IT ISN'T.

Pros:
*It's a guitar, and it DOES work.

Cons:
*Unlike the kit guitar, the keys click when you press them. If you're used to playing on a silent guitar, this can get annoying.
*The overdrive on the guitar sometimes decides to activate itself, even if you didn't do anything. That's REALLY annoying if you're trying for high scores.


Summary:
Whenever we play Rock Band at my house, I always call dibs on the black (included with the kit) guitar because I hate this one so much. If I had to buy one over again, I wouldn't buy this one. Beware!

I got a second guitar for my Rock Band 2 set. My family wanted to join me with a second guitar to maximize our fun, and our fun is now max'd out!

I love my 80's, 90's and 00's rock. This game has decent equipment and fun songs to play.
My whole family enjoys playing various instruments and we have ad-hoc jams whenever the mood strikes.
What a great concept and well put together package! We love it, you probably will too.

(4 stars) - Fun and a nice change
I have a son 13 and and another son 8. They both enjoy the game and the controllers are good quality. We ended up buying another guitar to use for the base track. We hardly ever use the microphone.

I would highly recommend it for kids. The 8 year old is pretty good at the game, though it can be overly challenging sometimes. The drums seem easier then the guitars.

Works great...just as well as the guitar the game originally comes with. I haven't had a single problem with it.

I purchased this to have a second guitar for use with Beatles Rock Band and it works great. The auto sync feature worked great for me. Much easier to do than manual. Otherwise this functions exactly like my Rock Band 1 guitar that I've been using. Performs exactly as expected. I recommend it.
