Product Details Built for durability and comfort, the P90X chin-up bar is the ultimate fitness training tool for strengthening and developing your shoulders, back, arms, abs, and more. The P90X--which mounts easily to any doorframe to become your own personal gym--features a patented design with 12 grip positions.
The P90X chin-up bar includes 12 different grip positions. | As a result, you can build multiple muscle groups with a variety of exercises, with the wide-grip positions challenging your upper lats, biceps, and forearm muscles (among many), and the narrow-grip positions putting more emphasis on your lower lats. The P90X bar is also comfortable on the hands thanks to the professional-grade, foam-covered handles, which won't cramp your hands as quickly as steel handles. And once you're done with your workout, it takes just a few minutes to safely remove the P90X and store it under a bed or in a closet. There's no better way to take your upper-body workout to the next level. Made of heavy-gauge steel that holds up to 300 pounds, the P90X fits doorways up to 32 inches wide and requires a sturdy doorframe with trim. The doorway should be a minimum of 5 inches wide and a maximum of 6.5 inches.
Product Reviews (5 stars) - great piece of equipment the chin up bar works as advertised. i'd buy it again as it is convenient to be able to exercise in your house while watching how to do the P90X exercises.
(4 stars) - P90X chinup bar review The procuct was as advertised.A nice piece of equipment.Even though the box had "made in China",all over it.My only complaint is with Bright Box,who I purchased it from.Very poor customer service!I inquired about their return policy,as my son can't use it ,due to a shoulder injury and upcoming surgery.I never received a single reply from them.Don't waste your money buying from this seller.
(4 stars) - Does the job very well I chose to buy the Beachbody pull-up/chin-up bar over the Iron Gym Extreme because I thought the quality would be much better. However, I was pretty disappointed when I received a box clearly marked "Made in China". If you want/need to save some money, buy the unbranded version (which I assume is made in the same factory), or just go with the Iron Gym. I also do recommend going to your local hardware store and spending $5 on better bolts & nylon lock nuts (I went with thicker 1/4-20 size 2" nuts & bolts) for added strength.
One thing that I did like over the Iron Gym was that the main long tube is a single steel bar unlike the two-piece Iron Gym design. Another benefit is that same main bar is also a few inches wider and more stable than the Iron Gym which looks like it would barely fit onto my door frame. The optional brackets don't need to be used as long as you try to keep proper form.
Overall, this product does its advertised job very well and goes great with any home workout program.
(2 stars) - Not all that great! Unfortunately I didn't read up as much as I probably should have about the requirements for this chin-up bar. The bar doesn't fit exactly in ANY of my doors in my condo. I was able to 'shift' it over to where it actually uses the inner pull up handle (foam grip)to rest against the door molding. The other par is that my molding is quite think enough to prevent it from hitting the drywall (where the us shaped piece comes down from the rear support). The worst part is where it goes back towards the drywall the end of the pipe is angled, damaging the sheet rock when pressure is applied. If the piece was cut straight everything would be ok. I dont quite understand WHY it's at an angle.......
Also, after putting it all together (very tightly I might add) the left U shape piece has some extra room in the bolt holes that allow it to 'wiggle' around and make noise.
Overall, I'm not that impressed for the asking price of 100 bucks. Fortunately I got mine cheaper, but I still feel like it's your typical product outsource Chinese made POS.
(1 stars) - Did Not Work! The bar did not fit a single door in our house - even though they are within the size range listed in the documentation. All customer service had to offer was to tell me to return it. We bought a bar from Target for half the price that is working just fine.
