Product Reviews (5 stars) - Exactly What I Wanted Now, I know some people have had qualms with the amount of space. Today, 2GB doesn't go very far if you intend to save music, photos, etc. But for some, myself included, 2GB is much more than enough.
I was looking for an attractive, moderately inexpensive flash drive to use for school files and to back up manuscripts. This drive was perfect for me. Text files, as you may know, aren't nearly as large as songs or images, so the size is really quite perfect. And you have to give Sony points for the design.
I'd recommend this drive to anyone interested in protecting their writing, or using a flash drive for day-to-day school work.
(1 stars) - So Sad ... I got this drive because I liked the way the top hid inside the case and because it was nice and green (OK it's a stupid reason to choose one over another.. but oh well) Too bad it didn't survive for six months. I took it everywhere with me, but it definitely didn't get anything that could be considered hard wear. I feel lucky that nothing too important was backed up on it, but I lost about 2 weeks of writing and now I'm forced to start over.
It's a shame, but next time I'm going to look elsewhere. Sorry Sony, it's a really pretty package. Too bad the insides aren't so great.
(1 stars) - DO NOT BUY IT. Well known to fail. This product falls way below Sony's usual standards. After purchase, it faild within weeks of light use. Simply goes bad. And I'm not alone: see

And many other links. It is a defective product (probably why it was on sale rediculously cheap). DO NOT BUY IT.
(4 stars) - For the price - Very Good, But I found a great deal on this drive for $9.99 at Target. I like the click design, where the usb end retracts inside of the device like an ink pen. The flash drive comes with VirtualExpander... which can expand capacity of the device up to three times. Kudos. Also the LED Indicator is bright lime green and quite attractive. On the downside is the size and speed. 2GB doesn't go far anymore. Double the price and you can find 8GB or more. Then there is the speed. This Sony is not promoted as Hi-Speed, but, I wanted to use it in Readyboost mode and wanted over 20MB per sec. read and 6MB write. I used Checkflash to test the drive and only got a read of 16MB per sec.and a write speed of 5MB per sec. Not what I hoped for, for the price this is a great buy and a recommended USB Flash
Drive for storage space.
(5 stars) - Very nice! It is really very good with the compressor. Clicking the flash drive gives me something to do in school and is very addicting!
