even though the Product Features say it is.
"Compatible with MacOS, Linux, Windows Vista 32/XP/2000/Me/98"
The packing does not mention MacOS at all, and comes with no drivers.
 (2 stars) - Well, what did I expect?
We purchased two of these, thinking it was a great deal. One works, one does not. Neither came with software/driver CDs. The range is approximately 2 meters.
(1 stars) - Very bad quality
I got this delivered a week ago and still I am unable to make it work. There were no drivers that came with the package. But VISTA detected it the device without any problem and installed the drivers. When I tried detecting my phone with this, it showed nothing. I changed all the settings to the correct one ( Visibility "on" and "Allow connection to other bluetooth devices" ). I tried with a couple of more phones, and same result. I tried detecting the computer from the phones, and again they failed to detect. This was inspite of me keeping the phone close to the bluetooth dongle. This was the case for the first two days.
The next day suddenly the dongle detected my phone. It would ask me whether it wanted me to pair with my phone. But during the process it will again get disconnected. This happened quite a few times. The next day again it was not able to detect my phone. This reflects the absolute poor quality of the product. It does not even have a name printed on the dongle. Just plain black colored cheap plastic.
Please do not get this item. You should pay a little more for a product that works properly and has better quality. It is useless returning it because the shipping charges are 300% more than the cost of the product. Crap!

I got it with drivers CD. Though It won't work at least on windows Vista. It worked in Windows 7 32 bit

Great little gadget for transferring file from a computer to a cell phone at decent speeds, but when you transfer music with this device it is slow but I did not buy it for that reason. Nice price, works great, you can connect multiple devices and transfer files from a good distance. If you get two of these you can transfer files from one computer to another via bluetooth instead of infared and networking, hence, eveything you send via bluetooth is more confidential. Great product at a more than reasonable price. Buy more than one cause youll love it unless you want to transfer music, then I would look for something more up to date.
