I initially bought this Eneloop pack at Costco.

I have since switched to Eneloop for all my battery neeeds and am very pleased with their long charge life both in devices and in the drawer waiting to be used.

We have almost entirely gone over to these batteries. Haven't used the "C" and "D" shells yet though so don't know how well they work. Neat idea though.

(4 stars) - Good value pack
Good value for the convenience. Battery has good shelf life. Love that for my speedlight which I don't use all that much. Also has very good capacity. Lasts for dozens of shots, though the power used with each flash of today's advanced speedlights depends on so many factors, the number of shots will vary for your conditions. Also used in a variety of other items like Wii remotes and small toys. All great.

Charger is nice and compact. Charges fairly rapidly - don't have to leave in overnight. Charges in pairs. See NLee's thorough reviews for comments on that.

Adaptor system is more a gimmick than utilitarian. It will probably do in a pinch, but I don't plan on using it much. (BTW, it's pretty clear in the title and description that C & D cells are adaptors, but here's a note to highlight to those who haven't realized this yet with this product.)

(5 stars) - Astonishing!
I bought this battery/charger kit with the thought of using them in a new Canon digital camera (which uses a pair of AA batteries) on a 7 day trip to Paris. I figured that 4 pairs of charged batteries should last the trip. As it turns out 1 pair lasted the whole trip and took over 300 photos. I've also shown those photos many times (to several bored relatives) on the camera's LCD panel without refreshing the batteries. They have FAR exceeded my most optimistic hope.

i expected these batteries to work when they arrive, but they didnt. they're charged up now, tho. [shrugs] no worries.
