Product Reviews (2 stars) - Connection drops off Let me start by saying that I really like this product. The sound is good enough, the display is bright, but not too bright for me, and the operation and setup is simple and intuitive. It meets all of my expectations for an internet radio alarm clock except one: the connection to the internet keeps dropping off. I bought it so that I can wake up to overseas internet radio stations, but during 3/4 nights it would lose internet connection and the alarm would revert to a chime. I can get that for ten bucks.
And when it was working and playing, it would lose connection and stop after somewhere between five minutes and an hour. I have never had problems with the wireless at my place, and wireless PCs stay conencted with no problems. Nevertheless, I upgraded to the latest firmware on both my router and the clock radio, and I tried a variety of wifi channels, but nothing worked. So even though I love the clock when it is connected, I am sending it back since it is essentially useless for the one thing that I wanted when I bought it.
(5 stars) - Great Product!! This radio is small enough for a standard nightstand and has great sound quality. Eazy to navigate too. Well worth the investment.
(5 stars) - A prayer answered I live in a radio wasteland. 1 NPR station (which is great) and 2 Classical stations. This fine little fellow has enabled me to cast off the shackles of
opinionated onesided nicompoops and find solace in net space.
It goes everywhere and I love it.
It's bit dicey to get a handle on operation but once done it makes sense. You will need a wireless router for optimum performance.
It's screen is a "blue" that hurts my eyes when searching.
Now I can go to sleep listening to "Lights Out" or New York news.

(1 stars) - Stations come and go I have been using this internet radio for several months. With firmware updates connects easily to WPA2 wifi. Tech support is reasonably available but did not resolve problems with this device. My problem is the erratic loss of stations. Stations are here today, gone tomorrow. This was purchased to listen to a few stations (BIG ones) and we cannot reliably daily get these thru this radio, whatever the cause.
(3 stars) - Good but.... This is a great unit and a fairly easy to personalize your display via Aluratek's web site....HOWEVER it does not support Flash Player. I streamed a couple great stations for about a year but then they stopped and they no longer showed up on the extensive built in Radio listing. According to Aluratek's Tech support the two radio stations are now using Flash Player for streams and the radio does not support it. Bummer!
