This was one of the worst purchases I have ever made. Bought it first in Best Buy Minneapolis - never worked. Then when I reached Dallas changed it at the Best Buy here. Even the replacement never worked! Kensington has some serious quality control issues. I am now very happy with a Griffin PowerDuo Reserve, its only been a couple of days but at least it works straight out of the pack.

(4 stars) - Should work for any USB-powered device
I bought it as an external battery pack for an M-Audio Microtrack 24/36 since the built-in M-Audio battery is proprietary, non-replaceable, and has a short life. The Kensington battery pack works fine. The charge indicator is easy to read, the connectors are easy to access and pretty nearly idiot-proof. The self-discharge rate is quite low - weeks to bleed off even one tick from a fully charged pack. The form factor makes it easy to carry in your pocket or briefcase. It should work with any device that is intended to be powered off a USB port.

used it with my iPhone 3G without a problem, it charged from low battery of 20% to full within 30 mins!

(4 stars) - A very handy accessory for the iPhone 3GS
This is a very nice little accessory. I would go so far to say that is almost an essential for trips. Plug it into your iPhone 3GS and it will charge it all the way back to 100%. At least that is my experience. Sometimes it is just not possible to plug in a charger, and when that is the case this little accessory is the answer. It gives you an extra full charge for your iPhone.

A couple of nits deprive this excellent accessory of the fifth star. Firstly, it does not fit real snappily onto the iPhone. It fits OK, but you want to be careful not to bend it. Secondly, they should have designed it so that the plastic cap that protects the connector to the iPhone snaps onto the opposite end of the battery extender when in use. Not a big deal, but I am surprised that Kensington did not think of this. Kensington makes good products.

Overall a very good product.

(4 stars) - It can be a life saver
The Kenington Mini performs very well in its charging function. It's got enough capacity to charge your iPhone from completely depleted to about 90% charge before it is drained. Its small size makes it easy to carry. The only shortcoming is that when it's plugged into the phone, it feels sort of loose and it can be easily shifted causing it to disconnect. During periods of charging the phone with it while using the phone, I've resorted to jury rigging it to the phone with a rubber band. Not very high tech, but it does keep the Kenington in place.
