These are the absolute best rechargeable batteries I have ever owned. They work right out of the package and they last what seems like forever. I just went on a 16 hour road trip with the kids. They used their Leapster and Didj all the way without needing to change batteries. I normally would have to go through several battery changes just going one direction. Excellent battery life.

I put Eneloops in everything now! They last forever. They don't cost much more than regular batteries and they can be recharged many times. The best part is, they will not go dead sitting in a camera, Wii remote, etc. while not being used like other rechargeables. If you buy the big kit, it comes with a charger and spacers to use for C and D cell. Great for camping.
