(5 stars) - Solid PSU.
I needed to upgrade my previous 750watt PSU so I could power 3 GTX 275's in tri-sli. This Corsair PSU allows me to do just that.

Pros:
Arrived fast.
Powerful yet quiet, more so than my old 750 watt Cooler Master PSU.
Runs cool.
Nice modular cabling design saves space and provides better airflow.
Has plenty of power to run multiple GPU setups.

Cons:
The only problem I have with this PSU is that sometimes when the computer is off the PSU seems to make a low volume high pitched noise. Though it is barely noticeable.

12GB OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Platinum Ram.
3X Nvidia GTX 275.

(4 stars) - Three months and still going
I have been using the Corsair 1000 watt powersupply with my Evga X58 classified motherboard for almost 3 months now and it still works great. It is big and heavy, but it fitted nicely at the bottom of the Coolmaster CM 690 case. It was packaged nicely and came with alot of or a bag full of many connectors. I bought it because it had the two extra 8 pin CPU power connectors in additional to the 24 pin motherboard power connector. I really liked that having a modular power supply, I dont have to worry about trying to hide the extra wires coming out of the power supply. I dont know if I am dense but it took me a while to figure out if I needed any of the extra cables from the purse. The colour coding of blue verses black for the modula connectors did help in identifying what to connect to the powersupply but not really on what was needed to be connected to the motherboard and graphics card. I later figured out something. Overall, it was easy to use.

The powersupply has its own built in surge protector. So far, I have never connected this computer power supply to any voltage regulator or UPS and I have used the computer during a thunderstorm and it still works!!! The powersupply has been knocked about and shaken up while being transported across some rough roads and it still works. The fan is quiet and the cords for the 24 pin, 8 pin etc are stylish. I would have given it 5 stars but I took out one because of the size and weight.

(4 stars) - Solid unit
This is a great choice in power supplies. its 520 watts is more than enough, dont think you need to have a 1000 watt unit and waste money on such, unless your running a super computer, this thing will do the job.

Modular design is a must have. yes, you pay for it, but the professional appearance of the finished install as well as better cooling are worth the extra coin.

This thing is solid and runs cool and quiet. I deducted one star because the power cables could have been better,. they seemed a little on the chinsy side, especially the "molex" ends, which dont always have the pins going straight, but usually angled off to the side.

(5 stars) - 520 - Very Solid and Quiet
This is a very quiet and solid PSU. The modular cables do seem to be a nice addition rather than a gimmick - although the auxillary 12V power connection to the motherboard couldn't reach the top of my mobo with the power supply seated on the bottom of the case.

Hope this lasts several years; in my opinion power supplies are one of the greatest contributions to a stable PC.

an Intel i7 920 oc'd to 4.2ghz all 8 cores enabled and turbo on (prime95 stable ran for 18 hrs straight), ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherboard, 6 sticks of 2gb Patriot memory, 2 BFG GTX 285 H2O in SLI oc'd to 702/1584/1332, ASUS Xonar Essence STX soundcard, 2 DVD drives, 1 Blu-ray drive, 4 Velociraptors in RAID 0, a 1.5TB Seagate drive, 16 fans, WiFi card, and 2 fan controllers. Also have 2 watercooling setups which consists of 1 feser 360 and 1 feser 240 radiators, 1 MCP655 pump, 1 XSPC bay/res combo.

This PSU can power all this, no problem. If your setup is similar to mine and you're in need of a new PSU, get the Corsair HX1000.
