Use the Weather band to listen to up-to-the-minute weather from your local Weather Band broadcasts. A digital synthesized FM/AM stereo tuner provides the most accurate drift-free tuning, and the FM Local/Distant (DX) switch provides optimal reception of both near and distant stations.

Enjoy 33 preset stations for one-button tuning to your choice of seven TV, four WB, 24 FM stations, and five AM stations. Finally, use Digital Auto Preset Scanning to play a few seconds of each stored radio station in sequence before you make up your mind.

Six week battery life about 1 hr use per day in new car with no tape player. Sound is good through car speakers. Buttons all feel the same so easy to press wrong one. Very light. Just what I was looking for at a reasonable price.

I bought it to use with my audio books. It's as good as advertised. battery life, size, sound,reverse, and the am/fm/weather radio is a nice bonus. A big improvement over my old Walkman.

the tape player on the item works well but the radio and the weather band are a very poor quality. I would not buy this product again, it is very disappointing. I would advise just buying a tape player for half this price and forget the radio and weAther band.

I didn't realize that you must use the earphones to listen to the tape. I would have preferred to listen to tapes in my truck without the headset.

(4 stars) - Cassette Player
I had two other small walkman type that were left unused for a long period, and they died completely. I found that the availability of Cassette Players in general has dried up almost comletely. I found the Sony in a local store and was about to buy, but found that Amazon was cheaper. I am planing to use it in conjunction with my computer, and although I have found that is works well, I have not yet used it extensively which is why I did not rate the battery life.
