Product Details This watch case opener will open most waterproof watch cases. Includes four sets of different type of chucks, chucks will work on polygonal, slotted, hole, and grooved case back. Made of high quality steel to help form a tight grip when removing the metal caseback from waterproof watches. Because this tool is metal, it may have additional grease around joints to prevent rusting and ensure smooth operation when adjusting tool.
Product Reviews (3 stars) - Looks okay..... I did not get a chance to use it, I only examined it and I noticed that it has some play, but for somebody with average skills it should be okay to do the job.
A question related to its design: it has three chucks and the lower one is symetrically placed between the other two horizontal ones. All my watches have two opposite slots at 3 and 9 o'clock and another two between them at about 5 and 7 o'clock (and two more at 11 and 1 o'clock). That means that the third chuck can not be used, because it is right in the middle at 6 o'clock (or 12 o'clock depending which way you look at it).
Am I missing something here?
(3 stars) - Works OK The opener pins fall out if the tool is turned over so you need to hold the watch on top with the tool down. It takes some fiddling around to get the pins engaged properly but it does work and the price is right.
(4 stars) - Watch back remover- great product The watch back remover works very well. For the price it is an excellent tool. Comes with several different pin sets, to cover the most commonly used watch backs.
(3 stars) - works but cheap I DID manage to open the three mechanical watches I have using it...but, it IS cheap and feels that way.
Roller and adjustments are very LIGHT and will slip easily - no lock on it -- kinda'fa struggle....
But, like I said, I did manage to open and close all three watches I needed to.
(3 stars) - Low price + ok quality = good value for occasional use Gets the job done, and at this price that's all you could ask for. I own about 20 watches and with the various bits I can open every one of them.
Quality is just fair. Adjusters are stiff and have too much play. But for occasional battery changes it's just fine. If you need to open a dozen watches a day this tool will start to annoy you, but you probably won't be considering this tool anyway.
Mine did come in a wooden box.
