Good size pockets. A little difficult to put together, but very functional once assembled. Like how you can make it any combination.

You need a leather hammer or rubber mallet to put this thing together. It's user-configurable so I made it to fit the space I had available. That was why I ordered it and it works well for that. Each cube holds one or two pairs of shoes, depending on the size (I wear a woman's size 8). It's not attractive, nor is it ugly, it is nondesript, and efficient.

This item is just to difficult to build, and we found out there are missing connection bits when we nearly finish. and I can't find out how to contact Amazon.

overall, it's a time-consuming product. the color is nice, but it's really difficult to build. now my boyfriend's hands are all red by pushing the boards into connections.

it's just a $30 shoe rack, so if you have time and can be bothered to "hurt" your hands, go for it. it's still kinda perfect for poor students like us.

I was a little skeptical when I opened the box this item came in and discovered it was not assembled, and that the material seemed questionable. But after assembling the product I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was in fact very sturdy, and will support some of my heavier shoes (like older doc martens) with no sagging.

I really like the idea that it is customizable with regard to number of cubes high vs. wide. And you can also shape the cube size to allow for taller boots. I have been using this item for over a month with no problems.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars vs. 5 is that it took me a little over an hour to put it together. Some of the connectors where rather stiff and didn't want to go together very easily, but with a little forcefulness they did.
