Product Details ENERGIZER LITHIUM AA
Product Reviews (5 stars) - Excellent for GPSes or devices like the Globalstar SPOT This batteries are the best one can buy for their electronic devices. I use these with a Garmin Oregon 550 GPS unit as well as with a Globalstar SPOT satellite messenger. It obviously works with advantages also in digital cameras (it is said that it can take up to 600 pictures out of a set), as well as communication radios (GMRS, etc.) and any device you must rely on while outdoors. It is worth to always carry a replacement set just in case. For outdoors this batteries are superb, specially due to the fact that other having much more energy than the best alkaline batteries, it is a lot lighter (weight-wise) too! I received two packs of 4 rather than a pack of 8 tough, but that is not a problem after all.
(5 stars) - An Outdoor Weather Instument Must Have If you own any kind of Out Door Weather instrument such as a weather station, indoor/outdoor digital thermometer or any other item that needs to function in extreme temperatures, these Lithium batteries are a must.
I live in upstate New York and my digital out door thermometer was giving me crazy readings once the temperature got below freezing. Under recommendation from an article I read I purchased some of these batteries - problem solved!!
(5 stars) - Great batteries for "special" purposes These lithium batteries are great. They are long lasting, lightweight and work great in freezing temperatures. Their "BEST BY" date is often ten years or more. If you have a device in a fridge or freezer or outside where it gets cold/freezing, then these are very useful since alkaline batteries will often fail in cold temperatures. They are also useful for devices that are inconvenient to change batteries, like clocks or wireless outdoor temperature or motion sensors. If you're wealthy, then you might as well use these instead of alkaline or rechargeables, but because of the relatively high cost, I only use these for "special" applications. Otherwise I use alkalines or Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries.
(5 stars) - Worth the cost I go out of my way to buy these batteries. They last and last. Yes, you might get batteries for less and maybe decide it's worth buying a bunch of those for what you can get for these; but if you're like me and want dependable batteries, get the e2.
There's nothing worse than having a camera go out at that Kodak moment. Lugging a bunch of spares bogs me down. I want batteries that work when I need them and these are it.
(5 stars) - Kept my Canon 570IS going strong on a two-month hiking trip I needed a light digital camera for an extended trek in Europe (the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain), so after much research I purchased a Canon 570IS. One selling point for the Canon was its power source: two AA batteries - lightweight and easy to replace in any country. I was going to go with a cheaper package of AAs, but my photographer friend suggested I buy the Energizer Lithiums. He told me that they lasted longer in digital cameras than regular AAs, and therefore I wouldn't have to carry as many. I took his advice, and he was right on all counts.
During my two months in Spain and France, I took almost 900 pictures. Along the Camino, photo opportunities arose multiple times throughout each day. Over and over again, I'd take my camera out of the case, turn it on, take one or more shots, and then turn it off. During rest stops I'd view the camera's growing stash of pictures on its rear screen for my own pleasure, or to show them off to others. Through it all, the two Energizer Lithium batteries kept my Canon humming along like a charm. I brought along an 8-pack to ensure I had enough, but ended up using only 4 of them (I gave two away to another pilgrim after his camera's batteries suddenly died, and never used the last two).
Bottom line, the Energizer Lithium batteries went way beyond my expectations. I figured I would have to change them every two weeks, but that wasn't the case. Indeed, the first pair was still working fine after 30 days (remembering the above experience with my fellow trekker, I changed them at the 4-week mark just to be proactive). As a newbie digital camera user, I was surprised and pleased with the Energizer Lithiums. I'm glad my friend recommended them to me, and I second his advice to purchase them for whatever point-and-shoot camera you use to document your next journey.
