| HonlPhoto Speed Strap for Shoe Mount Flashes |
|
Product Details Put an end to rubber bands, tape or sticky residue from gluing velcro to your expensive strobes. The Speed Strap fits any shoe-mount strobe unit, attaches and removes in seconds, and provides a large wraparound surface area to quickly attach gobos, bounce cards, barndoors, and snoots. Non-slip so it won't budge when attached. (shown on a Canon 550EX).
Product Reviews (4 stars) - Does exactly what I need I am using this item to replace the rubber band I have been using to hold homemade reflectors in place. Works well. It holds a lot tighter than I had expected. I also purchased the gels that strap onto this and this work well too.
(5 stars) - Work As Expected Well, it is after all a piece of velcro. The idea is to wrap it around the flash and then stick whatever modifiers (with velcro) you want on it. Yes, it is expensive for a piece of velcro you can make yourself. Whether you make one yourself or buying this depends on how much time you have and whether that time is worth more than $10. So far, it worked well for me and it is pretty high quality (sturdy and strong). I have even made a cheap modifier (google a better bounce card) with velcro and stick it on this - so basically, anything that has the other velcro side, you can stick them on here.
(5 stars) - Works as designed. Despite the cost, this piece and the other pieces work very well. They do the job and are well made. I highly recommend if you need solid, good performance.
(4 stars) - WAY Over-priced, but it works It works, but it's just a velcro strap that other velcro things can attach to. Your wife or mother could probably make one of these things from Walmart materials in about 10 minutes for under $5.oo -- but if you don't mind paying $20 for velcro strap then this is the product for you.
(5 stars) - A MUST Have The most important thing about this item, it is removable and can be easily strapped back again. And this is very vital because there are some accessories such as Grey Fung diffusers that cannot be slid on the flash if you have a permanent Velcro glued to it. Its size also quite versatile, I get to use it on my Nikon SB600, SB800 and the large SB900. Not only you get to keep your flash clean without the residue of the glue, but if you have used the Velcro type and then had to remove it to use another accessory it will be difficult to attach and detach the accessory due to the glue residue that remains on the flash and sticks to your accessory.
