Product Reviews (5 stars) - Full time mama the Precise Heat skillet has been a great addition to my kitchen. My family enjoys the oil free fried chicken, cooking is faster, and clean up is easy, my regular cooking time has been cut down while I gained good nutrition for my family.
(2 stars) - Impossibly Scorched I was so excited to get this skillet. The first time I used it, the food stuck to the bottom but it was easily removed.
Then my husband used the skillet to make pancakes and they stuck to it so badly we cannot get it clean. We tried Barkeeper's Friend and it didn't budge the black stains.
Has anyone else had this experience and found a solution?
(1 stars) - poorly made I purchased this item to replace a farberware frying pan that I used for nearly 30 years. It has anything but precise heat. The temp indicator was glued to the plastic control and had been glued so when it was turned off it was way past the off marker. This pan would not simmer but either boiled rapidly or did nothing. Unfortunately it arrived while I was away and by the time I realized it was defective, It was too late for refund. I sent it back and hope to get some type of adjustment. The quality control for this item was terrible
(5 stars) - Great skillet! Skillet was shipped promptly & packed very securely. The quality is excellent & it holds heat without hot spots. It is very heavy (could be a problem for those who can't use cast iron for that reason) & I like the vent feature in the lid (although it sounds like my tea kettle!). Overall I expect this appliance will last a very long time (will probably have to put it in my will!).
(4 stars) - Precise Heat Stainless Steel What I was most impressed with was the overall quality of the product.. made like a tank will probably last forever. There are other issues. When you cook with my pan all your cooking oil goes over to one side.. not sure if it's the feet or the pan surface itself that's not level. I just move stuff around a bit to make sure everything gets coated with cooking oil. There's definately a peak in the middle of the pan that causes every thing to run to the sides. Once your done be very careful moving the pan .. the internal oil is still hot and the outer surface of the pan will still be very warm after several minutes of being unplugged. Cleaning this pan is not easy. The instructions say not to use steel wool products. I've been using water and baking soda and letting pan heat back up and boil this solution to loosen any food still in the pan. Then let it cool a bit before attempting to clean with a rag. Also the temperature gauge is not in the right place on my pan.. I have to just guess what temperature I'm cooking at... you'll need to work with the temperature settings to make sure you don't get things too hot. The temp light goes out when the temperature has reached the setting on the dail... not just when the pan is on.
